LED Therapy

What is LED Light Therapy?

Not all LED’s devices are created equal; so, it’s important you know you are being treated with the best the industry has to offer. Our Healite II, which is a TGA approved medical device backed by proven clinical studies, harnesses the properties of 830/590nm and 415nm light via light emitting diodes (LED) technology. This device works at a subcellular, cellular and tissue level, treating effectively without the possibility of physical trauma or thermal damage. The treatment is pain free, non-invasive and can be used as a stand-alone treatment to improve skin texture, reducing wrinkle depth and skin texture issues. Due to its ability to heal the skin, Healite is also used as an adjunctive treatment to other cosmetic procedures.

Blue light vs. Near Infrared (appears yellow) – What are the benefits?

The blue coloured light (415nm wavelength) is used for the treatment of active acne, blackheads and congestion. This light is responsible for killing off the bacteria that causes acne.

The near infrared light (830nm wavelength) is best used post procedure to calm inflammation, accelerate wound healing, reduce bruising and reduce downtime. When clients are treated on this setting, the machine alternates between 830nm wavelength and 590nm wavelength. This is the setting of choice post-surgery for reducing scarring and for any inflammatory skin conditions such as inflamed acne, psoriasis, rosacea, dermatitis and eczema. When it comes to skin rejuvenation and antiaging, the 830nm LED light wavelength is the answer. The 830nm light reaches the dermal layer of the skin and is absorbed by cell membranes and mitochondria within the cells. The light triggers a response by the skin’s cells and sets off a cascade of cellular reactions, which results in the release of growth factors, new collagen synthesis and improvements in the microcirculation. The result is skin remodelling, collagen synthesis, improved elasticity and reduction in redness. Clinical studies document ongoing improvements in the skin which peak 4 to 6 months after Healite treatment.

Treating the skin with LED light therapy improves healing times for eczema, psoriasis, dermatitis, helps to relieve pain caused my inflammation in the joints, subsides active acne, aids in sports injury recovery and promotes skin rejuvenation. LED increases overall cell rejuvenation, assists with inflammation, redness and increases the effectiveness of an entire skin treatment plan.
