BIO-REMODELLING FILLER

An exciting new product has finally hit Australian shores after being available in the UK for some time. As we age, our skin gradually loses the ability to replenish its natural collagen stores, leading to facial laxity, loss of firmness and loss of skin hydration. This innovative and revolutionary bio-remodelling dermal filler contains a high concentration of hyaluronic acid (HA) to improve dermal hydration, restore skin quality and firmness, and stimulate the natural production of dermal collagen.

What are Bio-Remodelling Fillers?

Bio-remodelling fillers are a unique, new to market injectable treatment that works to correct and reduce the visible signs of ageing by stimulating collagen & elastin in the skin through its hybrid hyaluronic acid (HA) technology of different HA weights. Unlike other dermal fillers that correct skin structure and volume, this injectable treatment utilises different weights of hyaluronic acid (HA) for total skin rejuvenation, resulting in a more youthful-looking appearance.

Why is this filler any different to other dermal fillers?

Bio-remodelling fillers contain a very high percentage of pure hyaluronic acid (50% more HA per ml than normal dermal fillers). The structure and consistency of this filler is also unique in the sense that the HA structure is a hybrid of high molecular and low molecular weights and has a smooth honey-like consistency, dispersing evenly throughout the skin to smooth and remodel skin texture, resulting in a more even anti-ageing result.

Unlike traditional fillers that provide volume and support, bio-remodelling fillers provide deep dermal hydration and stimulate dermal collagen. If you are wanting to achieve more facial volume or correct moderate skin laxity and sagging, we would assess your suitability for dermal filler instead. We recommend booking a consultation with our advanced Nurse injector to receive your own personalised treatment plan.

Results:

After two treatments are performed, most patients notice a difference at 8 weeks, with optimum results visible at 12 weeks. Results typically last for six months, meaning maintenance visits are recommended approximately every 6 months.

The treatment is ideal for patients who have had UV damage in their earlier years as it stimulates dermal collagen and deeply hydrates the dermis with minimal added volume. This results in improved skin laxity and tightening, and a more youthful look.

A first of its kind, the appeal of this filler is its hybrid hyaluronic acid (HA) technology that delivers a dual action that nourishes the dermal cells and remodels the skin, plus its ability to cover complete areas with very little injection points.

Areas that can be treated with Bio-remodelling injections include:

  • Upper and lower cheeks
  • Smile lines and accordion lines
  • Nasolabial folds
  • Pre-jowl folds
  • Improve Marionette lines (puppet mouth)
  • Jawline
  • Neck

Minor side effects may include:

  • Infection

  • Allergic reaction to filler product

  • Avoid consuming alcohol 24 hours prior.
  • On the day of your treatment do not use make-up, lotions, creams, serums, tanners, or any other products on the areas to be treated.

These two treatments are often used interchangeably; but you may find that bio-remodelling fillers are a more cost-effective way to treat a larger area of the face and address different skin concerns. Dermal fillers give an instant lift, fill hollowness and boost volume, whereas bio-remodelling fillers provide improvements in skin laxity, hydration, and quality.

Bio-remodelling filler can be used on younger patients as a natural preventative treatment, or for older patients with more advanced signs of ageing.

Yes. We use only products with proven safety record. Even though this one-of-a-kind injectable treatment is new to Australia, it is TGA approved and has been used overseas since 2015.

The results of this filler may last anywhere between 6 to 8 months in most patients.

Initially, you will require two treatments of bio-remodelling filler to achieve optimum results. Your Health Practitioner can discuss with you the number of treatment sessions you need in your consultation for your skin type and desired outcome. Treatment may be required every 6 months to maintain results.

Although numbing cream can be used, most patients do not require it as injections are well tolerated and there are minimal injections needed as opposed to traditional filler, meaning the procedure is completed relatively quickly.

There is very little to no down time involved in this procedure, with recovery time between 12 – 24 hours. In fact, most patients return to their normal, daily activities right after their visit. Every patient is unique, so be sure to discuss your plans with your Health Practitioner.

You’ll also be advised to follow the recommended post treatment after-care, avoiding physical strain and exercise for 48 hours, any cosmetic treatments, injectables or dental procedures for two weeks and avoid saunas/steam rooms, extreme cold temperatures and UV and sun-exposure for two weeks post treatment.
