Shaping and sculpting is not always about removing; in fact, a lot of the time it’s about growing out the brow to get the most definition to match your personality, style and face shape. It’s a journey and you are in the best of hands with the Bobbie Charles team of skilfully trained brow experts.

We begin your brow sculpt with a thorough consultation, then by mapping out your new eyebrow shape using your facial features and natural eyebrow hair growth direction, we create a personalised shape. This allows you to see the brow design in full before we commence the treatment. Your eyebrows are then sculpted using multiple techniques including gentle precise waxing, tweezing and trimming. Then to complete the treatment we the soothe the skin with a gentle cream. Your perfectly handcrafted eyebrows are then finished with a brow gel to secure all hairs perfectly into place.

Before a Bobbie Charles brow expert touches you with any colour, they first and foremost listen to you. Helping you understand and choose the right tint choice to match your skin type and tone, they get to know your brow history and enquire into your colour preferences. Here at Bobbie Charles we offer premium brow tints that come in a variety of colours, which can be mixed and matched to create something unique to you. We only use industry leading brands that have proven long lasting results to create a fuller, fluffier more defined brow.

We begin the treatment with a thorough consultation, then map out your new brow shape using your facial features and natural eyebrow hair growth direction, creating a personalised shape for your staining. This allows you to see the brow design in full before we commence the treatment. 

Do you love getting your eyebrows tinted but wish the definition would last longer? The Hybrid brow dye may just be the answer. This treatment is a hybrid between henna and the old fashioned tint. If you like more staining on the skin, then this is for you! This colour service stains both the eyebrow hair and the skin to add more fullness, definition and depth of colour if you are wanting a ‘semi-permanent’ brow colour that lasts longer than your usual brow tint.

Service information

Treatment Time and Frequency:

Brow sculpting takes only 15 minutes. This treatment is generally performed every 2 – 4 weeks.

Brow Tinting takes only 10-15 minutes and lasts up to 1 week on the skin and up to 3 weeks on the hair. This treatment is recommended every 2 – 4 weeks.

Hybrid Brow Dye takes 30 minutes and lasts up to 1 week on the skin and up to 4 weeks on the hair. This treatment is recommended every 2 – 4 weeks.

Contraindications:

  • Topical or oral acne medications (you must wait 6 months after completion)
  • Prescription strength retinol (must be stopped 5 days before treatment)
  • Anti-wrinkle or filler injections (you must wait a minimum of 7 days) 
  • Skin treatments such as peels, needling or lasers etc (you must wait a minimum of 7 days) 
  • Chemotherapy or radiation (you must wait a minimum 6 months)
  • Allergy to brown hair dye ingredient paraphenylenediamine (client’s tinting only)
  • Excessive sunburn to the area as this can cause trauma to the skin 
  • Recent eye surgery i.e. Blepharoplasty 

Expected Side Effects:

  • Slight redness may be present from the areas that were waxed and/or plucked. This usually subsides within 2 hours.

Potential Risks:

  • Stinging, swelling, burning or flaking of skin in the brow area that has been treated. If this occurs, apply a cold compress to soothe and seek medical advice. Be sure to let us know of any adverse reactions or any concerns
  • Reaction / allergy to brown dyes may become evident after a brow tinting treatment
  • Breakout in the waxed area of the eyebrows (we recommend adding on the 830nm Heallite LED Light Therapy for those concerned)

Pre-Treatment Requirements:

  • Where possible; do not tweeze / trim your eyebrows prior to or between visits with us, this allows us to remove hairs in the same growth phase and get the best possible outcome for your brow design.
  • No self-tanning products should be used on the face for 3 days before your treatment, this can alter the colour of brow tint.
  • You must have not had Brow Cosmetic Tattooing in the past 4 weeks.
  • Do not apply prescription strength retinol, AHA or exfoliate around the eyebrow area for 72 hours before your treatment.

Post-Treatment Requirements: 

Now that you have experienced your brow treatment, there are a few simple steps for you to follow:

  • Avoid excessively hot showers, bathing, spas, saunas or sweating for 24 hours. Keep your eyebrows dry where possible to get long last out of your colour.
  • Avoid touching the eyebrow area as this may risk break out on the freshly waxed skin.
  • Avoid sun exposure to the area for 48 hours after your treatment.
  • Do not apply prescription strength retinol, AHA or exfoliate around the eyebrow area for 72 hours after your treatment.
  • No self-tanning products should be used on the face for 24 hours after treatment, this can alter the colour of your tint.

Depending on skin type, tint will last up to 1 week on the skin and up to 3 weeks on the hair. It’s important to also take the individual tint shade into consideration, darker colours generally last longer on the skin than lighter shades do.

If you are really wanting a proper stain and something that lasts longer, we recommend you try either our Hybrid Dye that lasts up to 1 week on the skin and up to 4 weeks on the hair, or our Henna Stain that lasts up to 2 weeks on the skin and up to 4 weeks on the hair.

Before we begin the treatment, we perform an in-depth consultation to ensure we chose the ideal brow shade for you. We have a huge selection of light and dark tint colours that can be combined to create your perfect individualised shade.

Before we begin the treatment, we begin every brow service with an in-depth consultation to ensure we customise you the ideal brow shape. We then map out your individual brow shape using your current brow hair, face shape and anything you may have mentioned you would like to achieve in your consultation.

For clients who are prone to breakouts, we always keep the area well disinfected and completely avoid putting any cosmetic products on top of the freshly waxed area. We always mention not to touch your freshly waxed brow area as this too can contribute to break outs. If you’re really concerned about breakouts due to wax, we can either tweeze or blade the brow area instead and highly recommend the 830nm Healite Light Therapy treatment post waxing.
