What are Collagen Bio-Stimulators?

Over time, our skin gradually loses the ability to replenish its natural collagen stores, leading to facial laxity, loss of volume and wrinkles. Not only that, but free radicals also break down collagen and elastin, which is why stimulation of these skin proteins is key to anti-ageing.

Collagen Bio-Stimulators are an injectable filler that diminishes the signs of ageing by immediately restoring dermal volumes. Once injected, the dermal filler works with your body to stimulate the production of your own natural collagen for results that last a year or more in some patients.

Collagen Bio-Stimulator filler is made of tiny biodegradable calcium-based microspheres which are suspended in a natural, water-based gel. These calcium-based microspheres are similar to minerals that are found naturally in your body, so allergy testing is not required. Over time, your body naturally breaks down these tiny microspheres and the gel, leaving behind only your own natural collagen. This collagen rejuvenation process continues for several months, extending the initial effects of the Collagen Bio-Stimulators.

We tailor your treatment to your unique goals, so pricing varies depending on the individual. We recommend booking a consultation with our advanced Nurse injector to receive your own personalised treatment plan.

Collagen Bio-Stimulator injectables are used for smoothing moderate to severe facial wrinkles and folds, such as laugh lines, as well as correcting volume loss in the face and back of the hands. The treatment provides immediate correction, with the natural results of this filler lasting from 6 months to a year or more in many patients.

These two treatments are often used interchangeably; but you may find that collagen bio-stimulants are a more cost-effective way to treat multiple areas of the face, and also offer a more cost-efficient maintenance moving forward than some dermal filler treatments.

While dermal fillers are made of a sterile injectable gel, and add volume, lift, and fill hollowness, Collagen Bio-Stimulants are a powdered substance that is mixed to create a liquid that is injected into areas needing rejuvenation and ‘collagen boosting’. Dermal fillers give an instant result; whereas collagen bio-stimulants can take up to 6 – 12 weeks to gradually grow collagen to the treated area. Dermal fillers can take several treatments to each the desired result, and require re-treatments when the body has absorbed the filler, whereas the ten to twelve-monthly maintenance treatments required with collagen stimulants is a different approach to anti-ageing and full-facial restoration.

Collagen Bio-Stimulator injections can be used on younger patients as a natural preventative treatment, or for older patients with more advanced signs of ageing.

Yes. We use only products with proven safety record. Our Collagen Bio-Stimulant product is a one-of-a-kind injectable treatment—the only CaHA that’s TGA and FDA approved for use in the lower face and hands.

Visible results of this filler are immediate, and natural results can last from 6 months to a year or more in many patients.

The number of treatments required to get the look you want depends on your face and your personal treatment plan. Your Health Practitioner will discuss with you the number of treatment sessions you need and the amount of Collagen Bio-Stimulator you will need at each treatment session. A repeat or touch-up treatment may be required to get the desired outcome.

There is very little to no down time involved in the procedure. In fact, most patients return to their normal, daily activities right after their visit. Every patient is unique, so be sure to discuss your plans with your Health Practitioner.

You’ll also be advised to avoid heat/sun/saunas and high intensity workouts for the first 48 hours or so, until any swelling or redness has resolved.
