COSMELAN PEEL

Awarded the World’s Most Effective Depigmentation Treatment

Cosmelan by Mesoestetic is a clinical depigmentation method which has an intensive corrective effect on hyperpigmentation, whilst regulating the overproduction of melanin in the melanocytes, inhibiting and controlling the appearance of new dark spots. This treatment works by a dual action-based approach:

Regulating action

Cosmelan works at two levels: At the first level by inhibiting the activation of tyrosinase inside the melanosome, reducing the oxidative stress, and thereby reducing melanin synthesis. Then at a second level, by containing copper chelators (Cu2+) tyrosinase function is reduced. Cosmelan acts by blocking the transfer of the melanosome to the keratinocytes, thereby preventing movement of the pigment to the superficial layers of the skin.

Corrective action

The cosmelan peel reduces the amount of melanin synthesised, reducing the intensity of the dark spot. It also acts on the stratum corneum, stimulating the renewal of the epidermis and intensively eliminating the accumulation of melanin.

Client Testimonial:

I’d tried multiple treatments in the past to help reduce my pigmentation before taking the plunge to try Cosmelan. Danielle was honest and thorough in her approach to prepare me for this treatment, and made me aware of the serious downtime required — I could not have appreciated this more!

Downtime involved swelling and peeling of the skin, and my face was very red and sore. But after getting through this 7-day period, I saw instant results! Not only did my pigmentation fade, but my skin had a youthful renewed texture and glow! I now don’t feel the need to cover up using makeup, and to this day, I still get compliments on my skin.

Cosmelan isn’t for the faint hearted, but receiving the amazing support, guidance and reassurance via personal check-ins from Danielle; to the LED light therapy included in the days after, made the whole experience worth it. I am so glad I chose Bobbie Charles to guide me through this treatment.

I highly recommend this clinical treatment to those looking for serious results. I’m going on 42 and my skin has a new lease on life!

For new clients that we haven’t yet treated your skin; one peel is required to prepare the skin prior to having this treatment, which isn’t included in the pricing. Please note there is 5-7 days downtime for skin peels.

If you continue to use the Cosmelan 2 cream, you will maintain the results. In some cases where the pigmentation is deep the treatment may need to be repeated – after the first treatment the pigmentation will be much lighter. This treatment is recommended to be repeated every 9-12 months, as pigmentation has such a good memory.

Results can be seen after one treatment of cosmelan. This can be visible in as little as 2 weeks post treatment or otherwise 4-8 weeks post treatment, depending on skin condition and concerns. Maintenance of pigmentation will always be needed due to external and internal factors.

Cosmelan is an intensive treatment which you will need to plan anywhere from 5-7 days of downtime. Your skin will be red, swollen and warm for the first 3 days post treatment, and then peeling will begin. Peeling and dryness can be expected up to 5-7 days. Sun exposure is to be avoided during this time; and an SPF is a MUST to protect your skin and your results. All post care products are included in your treatment price which will help speed up the healing phase.
